The GOP’s “no government, no economy, no life” is a lie

Letters to the Editor: We are a nation of political violence. Thanks, GOP leaders, for this gift. And if you don’t like the way we play ball, vote in the presidential election and “get rid of him” or “help him to win.” It’s all free stuff.

Re: “My Vote Matters.”

What did we learn Sunday morning? The GOP’s message of “no government, no economy, no life” was not just a slogan. It was a lie, repeated by a Republican presidential candidate who claimed to be the most fiscally conservative candidate in America.

The facts prove him wrong. Gov. Romney and his fellow Republicans want to use taxpayer money to give tax breaks to companies that ship workers overseas. They want to give tax breaks to companies that ship products overseas — and the money to use to pay foreign officials to buy votes for the Republican Party.

The GOP wants the taxpayers to fund companies that employ foreign workers to be sent to places where they will work for less pay. The GOP wants companies to be able to ship products to countries where companies will take a tax advantage, in order to win business. This is a form of government by tax giveaways.

For the record, Gov. Romney also wants companies that ship products overseas to pay a $3 billion “toll” or use the money to buy votes from U.S. citizens.

Taxpayers should not fund companies that pay foreign officials in exchange for votes for the Democratic Party. For the record, foreign officials do not vote for the Democrats.

The facts are clear, Gov. Romney is a liar.
