Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico reveal that they’re married but their husbands aren’t
We wish there was an easy way to get to know this pair of gorgeous women.
But unfortunately, we have to do it the old-fashioned way. Through the internet, a bit at a time. They’re married, but there’s a big difference in the way the two women are perceived by their respective families.
Who would know? Who would care? Not us. But we’ll let them tell the story of their first date. That’s how we discovered their marriage after one of our friends sent us a picture of them from a photo shoot.
We sent them to our sister site, The Daily Dish, and they came off as sweet and sweet.
“This is me,” Maritza said. She pointed to the photo we enlarged for the story. “This is my husband, Gabriel.” Gabriel looked very happy.
We liked her. But we also thought she looked a little old and stiff. We thought her husband looked like she was posing for the shoot, but on closer inspection, she wasn’t posing at all. He was just sitting in the front seat of the car.
We were wrong. Maritza is 28, but as we soon learned, Gabriel is 29 and they’re married. They were married for a little less than a year when they met on Valentine’s Day 2015.
Maritza was born in Puerto Rico and had moved there with her mother when she was 4. But Gabriel, her husband of three years, had been born in Puerto Rico. He was raised in the city and was attending the University of Puerto Rico while he waited to get his own place in the city, his dream.
Maritza told us that she and Gabriel met in a club, and that they immediately hit it off.
“If you like dancing,” she said, “we can dance.”
We thought, yeah, that sounds like this couple.
“I’m a little bit shy,” she said. She told us that she is a little shy and that she has many friends, but that she had never felt like a part of the group until she met Gabriel.
